I've been contracted to write a book (for MacMillan UK) on interviewing
in social care.

Given the experience in this group, I'd very much appreciate any
relevant material - 'must do's', 'must don'ts'; aspects of interviewing
that may not be obvious; useful techniques which may be obvious to
experienced people, but not to new students - or perhaps illustrative
personal experience....?

Anything we use will of course be fully acknowledged in the book; so,
if you feel you might have something to contribute, do please mail me!

All help/advice very much appreciated.

interviewing in social care?

Is that about interviewing kids in Foster Care?

Doing Home Studies?

Interviewing people to DO social care?

I'd probably add concerns about intellectual
prostitution, inbred mindsets, naivete' about
paid contractors motives, conflict of interest
concerns, motivated reporters, obsessive grandparents, cultural
corruption in agencies,
etc.

Well, thanks. Not constructive, not helpful, and not actually
responding to my request for help; but I guess it made you feel a bit
better, so I'm glad I gave you the opportunity to get that bile off
your chest.

However, just on case - I'm writing a book with the purpose of helping
individuals carrying out social care interviews to carry out better
interviews.

I'm genuinely trying to get views on how to improve such interviewing,
because there's a potential audience of students and others out there
needing this information... the book gives a platform, and was seeking
advice on how best to use it.

But it looks like this group was the wrong place to ask...
