I was reading through an old Sven Hassel book today and came across a
passage referring to a WWII social worker attached to the
GeheimeStatzPolizei or Gestapo.

Its curious as all military arms had their own family division and their
social workers had pretty tough powers including denunciation to death.

I am curious to see the extent of the WWII's practices which included secret
meetings/courts and agency coercion, removal of rights, indoctrination of
the children, action upon anonymous tip offs and so forth.

Their cry then was "In the interest of the state"...!

I had started an article on certain parallels but felt there are more
comparisons to be had than I thought.

Any views or ideas for resources?
